Tuna Pate in a bowl with toast

Tuna Pate

  • Author: caroline
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 1x

Description

This light and creamy tuna pate is delicious and super easy to dress up so it looks really impressive! No one will ever guess it only took minutes to prepare.

The default recipe serves 2

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tin tuna (100 g / 3.5oz drained weight)
  • 3 tbsp (45g / 1.5oz) cream cheese
  • 1 tsp horseradish
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • few sprigs of dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp capers or chopped black olives to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients into a blender, except the capers or olives, if you are using them.
  • Blend until you have a rough but even texture. Every few seconds use a knife to mix any pate stuck to the edges of the blender back in.
  • Serve with the chopped olives or capers on top. Add another sprig of dill for extra garnish.

Notes

  1. This pate is great served with toasted, thinly sliced baguette or ciabatta bread
  2. You can swap the horseradish for dijon mustard – or leave it out if you aren’t a fan of either (although it is quite a subtle taste in the pate)
  3. Fresh dill works best for this recipe – but you can substitute for 1/2 tsp of dried
